IJmuiden & Kaag and Braassem – Cast Horn & Weather Ribs
Jennifer travels further west and Nienke north. Jennifer wants to take the boat to England in IJmuiden, but unfortunately it does not sail because of the pandemic. She therefore decides to turn to the west of the Netherlands. Plan B: Kaag and Breassem. Ten polder villages connected by water and, where you can go on a hut tour. Because spread over different farm valleys you will find a number of special buildings to stay in. Nienke travels further north to Giethoorn, one of the highlights of the Netherlands, at least for the foreign traveller. She meets the resident who has put Giethoorn on the map in China, and explores the impressive nature around this popular village. Because if you paddle just a little further than the famous water streets of Giethoorn, you will soon find yourself in a labyrinth of puddles, ditties and swamp forests: the Weerribben.
